एक बचपन का जमाना था 

जिस में खुशियों का खजाना था 

चाहत चाँद को पाने की थी, 

पर दिल तितलियों का दीवाना था...

खबर ना थी कुछ सुबह की , 

ना शाम का ठिकाना था ,

थक कर आना स्कूल से 

पर खेलने भी जाना था .

माँ की कहानी  थी,

 परियों का फसाना था, 

बारिशों में कागज की नाव थी,

 हर मौसम सुहाना था...

रोने की बजह ना थी ,

ना हँसने का बहाना था, 

क्यों हो गये हम इतने बड़े, 

इससे अच्छा तो वो बचपन का जमाना था...

वो बचपन का जमाना था ...

It was a childhood

That had a treasure of happiness

The desire was to get to the moon,

But the heart was crazy about butterflies ...

There was no news in the morning,

There was no evening

Tired of school

But had to go play.

Mother's story was

 The fairies had to be cropped,

There was a paper boat in the rains,

 Every season was pleasant…

There was no cry

No excuse to laugh,

Why have we become so big,

Better than it was in the era of childhood ...
